KD, a rare and efficient scorer, is also one of the most versatile basketball players of all time. KD got an Achilles tendon injury from Career Ending in 2018-19. It is said that with this injury, 40% of the players will never be able to return to the original peak...
After missing the entire 2019-20 season and playing just 35 of 72 regular-season games this year, KD is so smooth, fluid, and even more efficient than before the injury.
In those 35 games this year, KD is shooting 53.7 percent overall (a career high) and a whopping 45 percent from 3-point range. In the playoffs, he averaged 31.8 points on 52.4 percent shooting, 47.8 percent from 3-point range and 90.3 percent from the free throw line. He also set a new NBA scoring record with 48 points on 17-for-36 shooting in Game 7.
In the beginning of the 2014 season, he performed well on KD and got the Slim Reaper moniker, but showed he didn't like the moniker at the time: "I'm here to shine a bright light. I'm not here to be a guy of, I guess , death. We'll see what happens with that, but I just like KD better."
KD loves the "Slim Reaper" nickname now: "It's time...that's too good of a nickname for me at that age": "It's time now. Back then it was too good of a nickname for me at that age.”
